Ignition problems
If the Micronizer will not commence ignition cycle or experiences problems in holding the infra red flame on start up, please check the following items:
- The safety shut down low level probe located in the feeder must be covered with material. (Check LIMITS indicator).
- The gas service pressure delivered to the Micronizer may be too low or too high. (Check LIMITS indicator).
- The ionisation probes may not be picking up a signal because they have moved out of position. Maximum recommended distance of ionisation probe from ceramic tile surface is 6 mm.
- Ignition spark plugs or ignition transformers may have failed.
- The flame controller units, the MVR relays, or the PVR relays all located in main panel may have failed. Therefore no signal is being received by either the main gas valve or by the bypass gas vale, preventing gas flow.
- The combustion fan butterfly valve may not be fully open.
- The combustion fan internal filter may be blocked and require cleaning if regular maintenance and servicing has not occurred.
- In cocoa plants, the combustion fan impeller may require steam cleaning because of cocoa dust build-up.
- In the cocoa plants, the interior of the gas/air mixer may require steam cleaning because of cocoa dust build up. This must be removed as one unit to enable access. Please do not dismantle any component parts because specialist equipment and experienced personnel will be required to rebuild the mixer and reset it. The interior of the mixer must be dried before reassembly.
- The Micronizer may be in a draughty environment.
