Ceramic Tile Replacement

The ceramic tiles have been specially developed to emit the maximum amount of energy in the infra red spectrum. In the unlikely event of damage, individual tiles can be easily and cheaply replaced. Spares are supplied for this purpose.  Broken or cracked tiles should be renewed promptly, removing the metal retaining strip and then the tile and packing and replacing with the rebuilt body.  Otherwise, the cracked pieces will work against each other, allowing oxygen access into the burner body.  This will result in incorrect combustion with the burner body glowing red.  In the event that an infra red burner body is seen to be glowing red the Micronizer plant should be shut down immediately and that particular burner replaced before further operation.

Always fit four new tiles in the burner body using new fibre flax packing supplied. A tight fit with the fibre flax properly compressed around the burner body allows the retaining strip to be refitted without problems.

Clean any dust which has deposited on the back of the infra red burner bodies weekly.

A vacuum type cleaner is recommended for this operation.  Blowing with an air line will cause dust particles to penetrate through the ceramic tiles into the burner body making performance less efficient.
